We Need To Call On The Lord For Help

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?(Psalm 94:16 & 17)
Devotional
The answer to the psalmist’s question is the same as always, the Lord. The Lord God is our help. We have to see that there is an evilness in the world that is permitting our society like a fast spreading cancer. Iniquity is abounding; that is, immorality and godlessness is rampant. We have become a people who see sin as an acceptable occurrence. Our attitude is dishonorable. We are no longer embarrassed or ashamed of our sin. Therefore, we do not ask, “Who will rise up for us?” We simply succumb to the evils and iniquity of a this lost and failing world. We need to see the awfulness of our ways. We need to be repulsed by sin. We need to call on the Lord for help. We need to let God know that we hate the same things He hates, and that we love the same things that He loves.Daily Reading
