Devotional
Your life really matters. What you and I do makes a difference in the lives of countless people. There are no Lone-Rangers in the kingdom of God. Therefore there is no room for self-centeredness, selfishness, nor self-pity. When we have a “Poor me” attitude, we are attempting to live to ourselves to ourselves. This attitude is a result of pride. We are thinking more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. When we attempt to live to ourselves, we may even contemplate taking our own lives. This is sin. Do not entertain the thought. We can overcome “The sins of self” by focusing on Christ, His Word, and others. Instead of being full of self, we are to be filled with Christ. Get busy. Serve people. Show yourself friendly, and be patient. God will open your life to a multitude of opportunities and bless you with Himself.Daily Reading
