There are angels and they are not fairy tales. They are mighty beings with great power. In the classic movie “Its a Wonderful Life,” the angel Clarence was a fun character, but a poor representation of an angel. One angel was able to destroy 185,000 enemies of Israel. Angels are mentioned over three hundred times in the scriptures. Therefore, we need to be aware of their existence, both in the spiritual and physical realm. An angel is a messenger of God. They bring good new as well as warn of God’s judgment. They have appeared in their majesty and as men. We are instructed in the book of Hebrews, “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” We do not have to become mystical, but we need to be aware of the spiritual realm in our lives. For it is there that the real battles of life take place. Angels are here for you.Daily Reading
