Title

Carry and Use Your Sword

Scripture
Having done all, to stand. Stand therefore... And take... the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
(Ephesians 6:13-14&17b)
Devotional
Sixty six books, forty plus authors, written over a fifteen hundred year period by doctors, shepherds, kings and fishermen, the Bible is by far the most unique for of communication ever given. It is one thing not to believe that it is inspired by God, but it is quite another to simply ignore it. That would be more than foolish. There has never been a book with a greater lasting impact than the book we call The Holy Bible. From its poetic flow to its unchanging science it is simply amazing. On top of all this, it is the Word of God. It is the Manufacture's handbook. It is the power of God.[20] It is able to divide, mend and heal.[21] It will always accomplish that which it is intended to do.[22] "For the weapons of our warfare (the Bible) are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."[23]
