The battles of life are fought in the realm of spiritual warfare. Ephesians says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Likewise, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling sown strongholds.” When we realize the source and sort of battles we are in, we then can understand the type of weapons we are up against and the type of weaponry we must use. Therefore to overcome the weak and sinful areas of our lives, we must understand where the battle is to be fought and the weapons that will be used. The enemies' weapons are lies and deception. Our weapons are the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and the battle cry of prayer.Daily Reading
