There was a time that I tagged everything in my life as either eternal or temporal. There are indeed things that are only temporary and there are things that are eternal. What I have found, however, is that everything we do has eternal consequences. From the mundane to the most significant, our deeds make a difference in eternity as well as this temporal realm. The old saying, “Only what is done for Christ will last” is true to the extent that everything a believer does is to be done to glorify Christ and edify His people. Therefore, everything we do is to be done for Christ and everything we do will last. Do not compartmentalize you life into spiritual and carnal. There is no room for carnality in the life of a believer. God created you for an eternal purpose. Therefore live as if what you do will matter for all eternity, because it will.Daily Reading
