Title

Consider it, Confer, and Speak up!

Scripture
“No such deed has been done or seen from the day that the children of Israel came up from the land of Egypt until this say. Consider it, confer, and speak up!”
(Judges 19:30)
Devotional
Judges 17:6 says that, “Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” When a people are unrestrained, there is no deed so abominable to which they will not eventually succumb. When you read the events of Judges found in chapters seventeen through nineteen, you see the spreading cancer of sin. Every commandment is broken in these three short chapters. Perversion became the norm and death was the end result. Sin in our day as then; when unchecked will devolve a nation to ruin. We are seeing our nation slide down this slippery slope of sin on a daily bases. What was once deemed unacceptable, has become tolerable and is quickly becoming acceptable and even embraced. Sin, which was once reproachful, is now the trend of the nation. Our children are embracing deviant lifestyles by way of the slippery slope of tolerance. We are forfeiting our morality. Therefore, “Consider it, confer, and speak up!”
