Title

Prosperity without Righteousness

Scripture
Righteousness exults a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
(Proverbs 14:34)
Devotional
Righteousness simply defined is “Doing it right.” When a nation does things the way God intends, the Lord blesses that nation. That blessing is seen in the harmony of the home and the peace of the people. Through righteousness there will be prosperity in every realm: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. This prosperity will be accompanied by peace. If there is not peace, there is no righteousness. The absence of pace is the result of sin. Even is an abundant prosperity sin is a reproach to any people. Prosperity void of peace is the result of sin. No matter how great the prosperity without righteousness, it will prove to be a reproach. Our nation at this writing is experiencing great prosperity, nevertheless, sin is rampant and peace is absent. Prosperity without righteousness will always be void of peace. Unless a nation turns to righteousness its prosperity will prove to be its downfall.
