Title

Keep Growing

Scripture
David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
(2 Samuel 3:1)
Devotional
Righteousness will always prevail. It may take a much longer time than we would like, but nevertheless those on God’s side eventually win. David was anointed king as a young man, nevertheless it took many years of struggles and hardships before God exulted him to the throne of the whole nation. But all the time he grew stronger and stronger. All the time God was preparing him for greatness. True greatness does not come instantaneously. Fame may, but greatness is a process. Greatness takes time, integrity, patience, faith, and above all God’s mercy and grace. These things do not come in an instant. They come in God’s timing and in His order. As you see yourself growing, rejoice. Be patient with God, yourself and others around you. David had seemingly many setbacks. However, God used each one to prepare David for the kingdom. And He will do the same for you.
