“Yet the Lord would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that He had made with David….”(2 Chronicles 21:7:)
Devotional
God is a covenant maker, not a covenant breaker. Therefore, the Creator of the Universe will never violate His Word. His Word, the Bible, is a true and sure written covenant that will never be destroyed. When we accept a covenant relationship with Christ, we accept the finished work of the cross of Calvary. Therefore, like the descendents of David, we too will not be destroyed. ?We have to realize that all of God’s covenants are directed, devised, written, and presented by God. He is the covenant maker; we are the recipients of His covenants. But let us never become conceded or puffed-up because of our position in Christ. We are where we are because of the covenant made by Christ on Calvary. ?God does not have to agree with us, but we by all means have to agree with Him. He is the Covenant Maker.Daily Reading
