Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.(James 4:8)

How do we draw near to God? Is it complex? Do we have to die? The answer is found in the Bible. We simply draw near to God when we are where He is. Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” We draw near to Him in prayer. “O You who hear prayer, to You all flesh will come.” We draw near to God through His Word. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And we draw near to Him through praise and worship. “He has exalted the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints… a people near to Him. Praise the Lord!” Where do all these things take place? The answer is clear, His church. Therefore, if we draw near to His church, we will draw near to Him.Daily Reading
