Title

Is Your Name Recorded?

Scripture
Obil the Ishmaelite was over the camels, Jehdeiah the Meronothite was over the donkeys.
(1 Chronicles 27:30)
Devotional
As there are no insignificant stories, or words in the Bible, there are no insignificant people or works in God's kingdom. This text is all we know of two people named Obil and Jehdeiah who lived over 2500 years ago. Nevertheless, their names and what they did was not only recorded for posterity, but for all eternity. Why were they significant? The answer must be that God knows who we are and what we do; and that everyone is important to Him. Are names are recorded. There are two "Who's-who" books that merit very special attention: the Bible and the Lamb's Book of Life
