Title

Be Very Alert

Scripture
Having done all, to stand. Stand therefore... being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
(Ephesians 6:13-14&18b)
Devotional
We are not only to put on the whole armor of God, but we are to do so with much alertness, at all times and with all the saints. We (Christians) are the army of God. We are to not only watch out for the enemy; we are to watch out for each other. We are to watch for each other in every realm, especially in the realm of prayer. It has been rightfully said, "Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees." Let me reiterate, prayer is the place of spiritual battle and the place where victories are established. Therefore let us pray for and with one another. Let us not be slow to ask as the apostle Paul asked, "Strive together with me in prayers to God for me."[25] Do you hear the gravity in his words? Do you hear the urgency? He unashamedly requested that the church would not only pray with him, but also for him. Let us put on the whole armor of God and go to the battlefield of prayer together, knowing that it will be the place where Christ will be the victor.
