It Takes An Abiding Relationship
Scripture
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.(John 15:7)
Devotional
Are you receiving the desires of your heart? Does God answer your prayers in the affirmative? If not, maybe, just maybe we are missing something. According to our scripture text, it takes an abiding relationship. The problem with many of us is that we have an occasional relationship with Christ instead of an abiding relationship. The only time we fellowship with Him is in the place we call the church and that is not very often. An abiding relationship is one that takes place seven days a week and twenty-four hours a day. It is a God conscience lifestyle. It is a lifestyle expressed with worship and praise, prayer and meditation, permeated with the Word of the Lord. When we have this kind of a relationship with God, He says that we can ask what we desire and it shall be done for us. It will be done because our asking will change, and change for the better.Daily Reading
