Death and life are in the power of the tongue…(Proverbs 18:21)

If we can grasp this powerful truth of scripture we can capture the abundant life. We do many things to avoid premature death. We exercise, eat properly, take vitamins and have regular health checkups. Death and life are not in the power of these. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and the tongue reveals our lives. If we learn to speak in a healthy manner, we will live healthy lives. If we speak positively we will live positively. If we speak lovingly we will be loved. If we speak honestly we will reap the fruit of righteousness. If we speak kindly we will receive in kind. We have the power of life in death at our lips. Our tongues can make or break a marriage, a business, a relationship or even a church. Allow me ask, “How’s life?” You will find that your life is in direct proportion to your mouth. Therefore remember, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”Daily Reading
