Title

Is God for you or Against You?

Scripture
Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Indeed I, even I, am against you and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations.
(Ezekiel 5:8)
Devotional
The scriptures likewise say, “If God is for us, who can be against us.” Therefore, if God is against us, who can deliver us? The answer to both questions is nobody. Yet, we do have a choice. We can choose to have God for us by coming to a saving knowledge of His son and obeying Him. Or, we can choose to rebel against Him and follow our own ways. I do not know about you, but I surely do not want God as an enemy. If we choose to rebel against God, He will be against us. I would much rather the Creator to be for me than against me. The choice is very clear and the results are more than evident. Let us not be fooled by the notion that God is a kindly old grandfather who just sits in heaven not caring whether we are obedient to Him or not. He is a loving Father that is also just. We have a choice; we can enter His embrace or receive His judgments. What will you chose?
