Dealing with Sin

Scripture
They do not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness…
(Hosea 7:2)
Devotional
Sin does not go away, it does not evaporate into the air. Sin must be dealt with, remedied and done away with. The beginning of dealing with our sin comes via confession. 1 John 1:9 says it so clearly, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Sin is remedied through repentance. Ezekiel says, “Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die…?” We cannot ignore our sin because God does not ignore it. Let us not fool ourselves into believing that God does not mind a particular sin. There is no such thing as a harmless sin. All sin is destructive and leads to death. Therefore, let us confess our sins to God, that He, in turn, would grant us repentance. We, through Christ, have the ability to turn away from sin, all sin.
