The Source Of Strength

Scripture
She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms.
(Proverbs 31:17)
Devotional
All battles, exploits and victories are won by strength. The question is, whose strength? The apostle Paul said, "When I am weak, then I am strong."[5] The Lord Jesus clarifies the reason why; "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."[6] This weakness is not a result of a lack of work or exercise, but the result of attempting feats greater than your own ability. There are a lot of things we can do in our own strength and we should. It is a matter of discipline. However, there are grand exploits and great works that cannot be done unless God is the source of our strength. From giving to serving, there will be times when you will say, "I can't do that" and you will be right. Then the Holy Spirit will answer, "That's right, you need Me for that." So let us strengthen ourselves through discipline and let us strengthen our selves in the Lord.
