The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom.(Proverbs 16:4)
Devotional
Mankind is created in the image of God, all of mankind. And we are created for His good pleasure. The Scriptures are clear, "The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness."[1] If this is so, and we know that it is, then we are solely stewards of God's creation. And the purpose of our stewardship is to please the owner of it all. Our text is clear, "The Lord has made all for Himself, therefore there is a purpose of everything. Ecclesiastes says it this way, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."[2] We may not always understand why, but we can always trust that God is never taken by surprise. He is in total control. Yes, even the wicked have a purpose. What is more important however, is my purpose. How do I fit into the scheme of the things of God?[1] 1 Corinthians 10:25
