Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.(Proverbs 11:21)
Devotional
We can be sure that the wicked will never succeed in their endeavors. They may have a few skirmish victories, but the war against the righteous will never prosper. At this writing the United States of America are at war against terrorism. And terrorism by any definition is wicked. Therefore though they join forces, the will not go unpunished. The key is that the righteous remain righteous. It is not necessarily up to the nation as a whole to humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways for America to be delivered. As 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."[1] Therefore it is up to those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ who are going to control the posterity of the righteous.[1] 2 Chronicles 7:14
