Title

Jesus The Observer

Scripture
Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.
(Mark 11:11)
Devotional
Jesus was always very observant. He pondered and enjoyed things. The temple surely meant a great deal to Jesus. He called it His Father’s house and a house of prayer. He observed the money changers as well as the people praying. He watched the Pharisees as well as the people with their offerings. He listened to the musicians and the singing. Jesus took in life to the fullest. His days were full of life. He lived every day to the fullest. He says about us, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” We too are to be observers of life. We are to look around and learn. When you go into the House of the Lord, look around. Listen with an obedient ear. Listen to the music and the singers. Take in all that Christ has for you in this life. This is the life of a leader. This is the life of a follower of the greatest observer of all times. This is the life of a believer.

As Paul Harvey says; "the rest of the story"

So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’" Mark 11:15-17

When considering "What would Jesus do?" remember 'turning over tables and setting things right' are a viable option.
