Devotional
The key word in our text with regard to giving is “faithfully.” It will always be a challenge to faithfully bring the offerings, the tithes, and the dedicated things to the house of the Lord, but your faithfulness will always bring a blessing as well. ?The offering we give to the Lord is the portion of our increase that we give for the work of ministry. This is given by a willingness and simple desire to meet the needs of service.?The tithe is the Lord’s, and it is given as holy unto Him. It is to be the first portion of our increase. Whatever God gives us, ten percent of it belongs to Him. ?The dedicated things or “pledges” we make, are above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings. The pledge is usually based upon what God would have each individual to do. Often times it is an amount that is more supernatural than natural. ?Each form of giving comes with a blessing, but let us not forget that our giving to the Lord is fulfilled through obedience.Daily Reading
