Title

Doing What I Said I Would Do

Scripture
For you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus .
(1 Thessalonians 4:2)
Devotional
Am I doing what I know to do? This is all that the Lord requires of us, doing what we know. James says, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” For example, if you hear a teaching or a sermon on a certain subject, and you agree with what is being instructed and are not doing it, it is sin. You have violated your conscience. If you know that God instructs you to give tithes and offering and you do not, you have violated the commandments. If you know that you should not lust nor covet, and you do, you are in violation. I believe that if you know that you should be working harder and you are not, again, it is sin. What do you know? Are you doing what you know? If not, why not start now.
